It's time for another edition of 10 Questions with our shoezone Head Office Staff! Take a sneak peek behind the scenes at shoezone HQ for a little insight into day-to-day life from loads of departments, from buying to marketing to finance to customer services and everything in between. So tell us what your job role involves.

My role entails looking at shoezone's property portfolio and agreeing leases, lease extensions, drafting notice that we give to the landlord. Assisting the solicitors overall with property and litigation transactions in relation to over 400 shoezone stores.

How did you get into this career?

I have always wanted to pursue a career in law, from a young age. I was always interested in the latest legal cases and ensured I was kept up to date. Further to this, having my family already in the legal industry enabled me to gain a bit of insight into the life as a paralegal.

What is your favourite thing to do in your job?

I really enjoy the tactics behind negotiating a lease, I never realised how well you need to play your cards right.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to go into your career?

To be certain that they have a genuine passion for this area and enjoy it.

Do you work in a team in your role, and if so, what's that like?

Yes, I work closely with the whole legal team, which I thoroughly enjoy. Being able to pick their brains has really given me a lot of insight and seeing a range of ways on dealing with disagreements.

Now, onto the serious topics: what's your go-to pizza topping?

I keep my pizza nice and simple, and often go for a margherita. On the odd occasion, I will go for a pepperoni pizza.

What do you like to get up to outside of work?

I like to meet my friends for food and drinks, go for walks and go to the gym (not as much as I should).

What's the last thing you watched that you really enjoyed?

I really got in to a series on Netflix called The Night Stalker. It's a murder documentary based on a serial killer in the 1980's in LA. Even though they're quite scary and do sometimes give me nightmares, I have probably watched every single one on Netflix. If I am looking for a happier series, I do re-watch friends, how I met your mother and the office quite a bit.

What are you listening to on your commute to and from work?

I listen to a lot of Drake, Pop Smoke and the Weekend.

The highlight for me so far is definitely working with such an amazing and supportive team!
